Hillary Clinton Just Responded To The Barcelona Tragedy In A Classy Way

In the wake of the tragic terror attack in Barcelona, Spain, in which 13 people have died and 80 have been injured after a van plowed into a crowd of people, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton issued a response as articulate as it was compassionate.

Meanwhile, Trump responded by advocating for further aggression and invoking a discredited racist myth in a decidedly anti-Muslim tweet.

Trump’s response also turned heads in that he decried the attack as terrorism before authorities confirmed it as such. This is especially misguided given the fact that, only days ago at his off the rails press conference, he specifically complimented himself for having waited to “know the facts” before criticizing white supremacists.

“I wanted to make sure, unlike most politicians, that what I said was correct, not make a quick statement. The statement I made on Saturday, the first statement, was a fine statement, but you don’t make statements that direct unless you know the facts. It takes a little while to get the facts. You still don’t know the facts. And it’s a very, very important process to me. And it’s a very important statement. So I don’t want to go quickly and just make a statement for the sake of making a political statement. I want to know the facts.”

While Trump’s tweet is evidence enough that he will use any opportunity to perpetuate his racist agenda, Hillary’s words are an important reminder that at least some of our nation’s leaders are capable of forming a response with a modicum of class.

Add your name to millions demanding that Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH DONALD TRUMP!
