Chelsea Clinton Just Gave A Classy Response To Trump’s Charlottesville Press Conference Today

President Trump shocked the nation this afternoon when he defended white supremacists and neo-Nazis in a combative press conference which went immediately off the rails.

Public figures from both sides of the aisle are condemning Trump for his bigotry with a wide variety of responses. Media figures at both CNN and FOX News joined together in their disgust of Trump’s remarks, joined by politicians, public figures, celebrities, authors, furious citizens – you name it.

Even Republicans like House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) felt obliged to offer a reluctant and half-hearted repudiations of the overt kind of racial and ethnic dog-whistling that they use to win elections, even though the coward couldn’t be bothered to even say the President’s name.

One of the best responses came from Chelsea Clinton, daughter to President Trump’s electoral rival.

Elie Wiesel was a Nobel Laureate poet who won wide acclaim for his powerful works about his time as a prisoner in the Nazi concentration camps of Auschwitz and Buchenwald.

Chelsea couldn’t have chosen a better passage to quote on this disturbing day. The same evil sentiments that inspired the horrifying crimes of the Holocaust and justified American slavery are running rampant once again, and history has shown time and time the price of our silence. We cannot allow the evils of anti-Semitism and white supremacy to take root in American society and fester once again.

Add your name to millions demanding that Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH DONALD TRUMP!
