‪Sally Yates Just Broke The Internet With A Tweet On Trump And Yesterday’s White Supremacy Violence

Former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates has joined the chorus of Americans taking to Twitter to express their disgust at the horrific events that took place yesterday in Charlottesville, Virginia. Yates, who was originally appointed United States Deputy Attorney General by then-President Barack Obama, was famously fired by President Trump for instructing the Justice Department to refrain from defending his first executive order on immigration which was subsequently shot down by Federal courts as an illegal ban based on religion.

In her tweet, Yates seemed to be alluding to criticism of President Trump’s refusal to assign the blame for yesterday’s violence to the alt-right and neo-Nazi marchers, one of whom plowed his vehicle into a crowd of counter-protesters, killing an innocent 32-year-old woman. While Trump took to Twitter yesterday to condemn the violence, he attributed the violent demonstrations to “many sides.”

Yates’ tweet left no doubt as to where the blame lies.

Surely, most rational Americans will agree that what Yates is saying is obvious. It is only the President who refused to explicitly denounce the alt-right for their responsibility in this violence when even fellow Republicans like Marco Rubio knew where to aim the blame.

One can only assume that since the alt-right was responsible for helping him win the last election (with a healthy bit of assistance from the Russian government, according to our national security agencies), Trump doesn’t want to alienate his loyal voting base.

Sally Yates, however, knows exactly how many characters one needs to properly express real American values.

Add your name to millions demanding that Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH DONALD TRUMP!
