Morning Joe Just Exposed Trump’s Obama Hypocrisy After Today’s White Supremacist Violence

After a night of radio silence from the President of the United States as white supremacists threatened Charlottesville, Virginia while chanting slogans like “Heil Trump,” President Trump finally responded on Twitter. Sort of.

Trump fired off a pair of vague tweets generally condemning violence and hate but making no mention of bigotry or the white supremacy that he has inflamed and which caused the violence. The only specific mention Trump made to the terrifying events was in his second tweet to say “but Charlottesville sad!”

After years of blasting President Barack Obama for not using the words “radical Islamic terrorism,” Trump’s hypocritical stance on white supremacist terrorism is glaring. The egregious double standard was not lost on Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough.

The former Republican Congressman turned impassioned Trump critic was so infuriated by Trump’s tacit endorsement of white supremacist violence that he fired off a series of angry tweets calling Trump out for blatant and dangerous hypocrisy.

Scarborough is right. Trump reached the White House on the backs of the white supremacists he egged on, and now his silence continues to embolden them. President Obama may not have used the words Trump wanted, but in the wake of atrocious violence, he was never put on a display as cowardly as this president’s silence.

Add your name to millions demanding that Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH DONALD TRUMP!
