The public feud between President Trump and CNN took an astonishing turn on Wednesday morning when pro-Trump neo-Nazi website the Daily Stormer announced their plans to “dox” the children of CNN’s @KFILE members, threating to release their addresses, phone numbers, and other private information to the public unless the KFILE crew immediately resigns.
Andrew Kacynski of CNN’s KFILE already has protestors massing outside of his house and is being swamped with threats.

This article was published in response to CNN’s successful investigation into who created the crude GIF of Trump beating a man on WWE whose head has been replaced by the CNN logo that the President of the United States tweeted out over the weekend.

CNN’s KFILE determined the Reddit user “HanAssholeSolo” was the original creator of the GIF.
They decided not to release his identity for his own safety, shortly after which the Redditor publicly apologized and promised to not create any threatening GIFs again. This immediately prompted Trump fans on Twitter, 4chan, and other white supremacist internet forums to leap to the conclusion that the user was being blackmailed, and somehow was also fifteen years old.

It is the height of hypocrisy for Trumpcoat Twitter to suddenly decry the evil of “doxxing” after spending the past year and a half “doxxing” journalists and activists, especially those of the Jewish faith. President Trump himself “doxxed” a union leader who called him out for lying about saving the jobs at his plant.
The same folks who yawned when Prez Trump instigated the harassment & doxxing of a union leader are going to war for HanAssholeSolo. pic.twitter.com/v6quUlE6XM

The #CNNBlackmail is just the latest conspiracy theory to sweep right-wing Twitter, but the threats from the Daily Stormer, while not entirely unexpected, are a deeply disturbing sign of just how far political discourse in this nation has fallen – and just how potent a threat our nation’s journalists face in this atmosphere of fascistic repression.
